Career Assessment

You may be considering a new job, or a complete career change, for any number of reasons. Coaching will help you discover career options that are more aligned with your needs for the greatest possible fulfillment, while ensuring that your goal is a viable one in the marketplace. This is ideal for someone who wants work that is more than "just a job". You will receive: 

  • Exercises to help you assess your skills, values, motivators, preferred work environment, and ideal job

  • Industry-recognized, statistically significant assessment(s) that you will complete and we will discuss

  • Tools you can use to explore various job options in your geographic area and also remote opportunities

  • Clarity on possible jobs of interest, the steps involved in pursuing your goal, and a plan to get you started

  • An Authentic Vocation Profile Report - A detailed report of your results, suggested jobs, and other resources

  • Coaching sessions after your exercises are completed and the Authentic Vocation Profile Report has been finalized

Resume Writing

I leverage my recruiting background, and my experience with employers in numerous industries, to ensure you will have a strong resume that helps you to stand out in the marketplace, whether you are a new grad, individual contributor, or executive. A well-written resume can make the difference between being contacted for interviews or being passed over for seemingly better qualified candidates. You will receive:

LinkedIn CritiquE & Rewrite

LinkedIn is the "go to" resource for today's recruiters and hiring managers. It is an important marketing tool for you, especially during the job search process. Your profile will be critiqued to ensure it's effective and highlights your most important attributes. You will receive:

  • A review of each section of your LinkedIn profile with suggestions for change

  • Rewrites for any section(s) of your profile that can be stronger and provide more impact

  • Guidelines for expanding your reach and for increasing your connections effectively

  • Tips for using LinkedIn to increase your chances of being seen, and responded to, by recruiters

21st century job search

Today's job market is very different than it was even a few years ago. In order to be successful, you need to understand the new dynamics of the job market, the steps that are involved with a targeted job search, and how to connect with those who can potentially hire you. Learn how to use the job boards more strategically, how social media can benefit you (including which platforms are best and which ones you can avoid), and ways to increase your chances of being contacted by recruiters and hiring managers. interview preparation (Mock Interview)

As a recruiter, I have interviewed individual contributors through executive level candidates, working closely with hiring managers from initial job requisition through the offer stage. I know firsthand how you can best prepare to answer the most difficult questions from a position of strength, and what you can do to increase the odds that you will continue through what are often multiple stages in the interview process. I will coach you using a system I've developed to help you gain the experience necessary to greatly improve your chances of being successful. You will receive:

offer negotiation preparation (Mock Offer Negotiation)

Discover the steps involved in the Offer Negotiation process and how you can use them to your advantage. Know what to ask for, the importance of timing, and exactly what to say to increase your chances for success. Candidates who don't negotiate an offer can leave thousands of dollars in base salary, plus benefits, on the table. You will receive:

  • Tools to help you determine what your primary needs and requirements are when it comes to the offer
